Who is Michelle Wood?

Michelle grew up in the Charlotte, NC and has lived in the Asheville, Boone, and Sylva, areas of NC. When she was younger she would often fly to many cities throughout the United States with her parents. She developed a love for travel early. The challenge of understanding what the different cities had to offer was exciting to her.
Michelle bought her 1st home when she was 19. She has years of working in management with a focus on the real estate and tourism industry. She worked in management for a honeymoon resort, Ski condo resort, and a restaurant. She and her husband opened their 1st business in the Boone, NC area in 1996. During that time they would remodel homes as well as develop 2 commercial buildings. Her unique background has given her an insight into the challenges for anyone looking to starting a development. She is currently an alternate member of the Buncombe County Board of Adjustments and involved in several developments in the Asheville area. Her business and tourism experience also gives her a unique knowledge of what the 2nd home buyer and retiree’s needs in a new city.
